Hello! My name is Zahava and I'm a travel loving, athletic, parkour doing, amateur chef, polyglot. I have a lot of interests and I try to engage at least a few of them every day. My love of travel has taken me to several countries and driven me to become a polyglot. I've always been athletic but since finding parkour in college nothing else can compete, I've been doing parkour for almost ten years now! I'm on a personal quest to be able to make everything I like to eat. It's a tall order considering travel keeps adding new things. But, I love a good challenge!عني كمعلّم
Even though I haven't always taught languages I have been teaching for almost ten years. Now that I have experience both online and in the classroom, I feel I'm much more well rounded and better equipped to teach all kinds of students through various media. I've exclusively worked in immersive English environments so I have a lot of skill in that teaching style. I'm good at making concepts understandable without giving a translation. I have also worked with professional students to perfect their English in a business setting so I have experience with specific vocabulary as well. I can cover any topic you can think of from transitive verbs and ordinal numbers to pronunciation rules and slang. Whatever you want to learn can be worked in to what I teach. I work with four main concepts: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, focusing mostly on listening and speaking. However, the content is really student driven coupled with the basics to have a solid grasp of English. The pace is set by you. What I expect from my students is that you have an idea of what you want from the language. What you want to use the language for can dramatically change what you need to learn. If you don't know yet, that's fine. All you really need is a learning attitude. I can do the rest!موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Master Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language - TEFL Fullcircle - 2017To receive the certificate I had to complete 160 of classes and a two part test: an exam, multiple choice, and short answer style on the English language rules as well as the things I had learned with regard to teaching (class management, seating arrangement, etc). The second part was writing a lesson plan. I chose from a few options giving details on my students and I wrote a one hour lesson for a specific topic including intro and closing activities, worksheets, and troubleshooting.

Advanced Certificate in Teaching English to Young Learners TEYL - TEFL Fullcircle - 2017This had a focus on working with young learners. It covered class room management, gave some activities, and detailed what differs from working with adult learners.

2018 - 2019
English / French TeacherI taught two hour English only lessons to students in a classroom working from a book. It was up to me to fill the time with activities and make them work for the different ages of students (there was no age division so some classes had adults and children). This has helped me be creative with explanations and activities as I couldn't use anything but English.
2020 - 2022
English TeacherEngaged students in English lessons and conversations from a provided text. Made English interesting and fun for ages as young as 3 up to and through retirement age. Helped many students reach their personal and professional English language goals.
