I'm Karen and I'm from the U.K. I currently live in Japan and have lived here since 2012.
I came to Japan because my mother is Japanese and I wanted to experience life in her home country.
I also came to try and learn Japanese! 私の日本語のレベルはまだまだですけど、少しわかります。がんばります！عني كمعلّم
I have taught English for 10 years and I have worked with wide range of students. Right now, I teach small group conversation classes, private lessons and online TOEIC Prep lessons.
My own experience as a student of Japanese has helped me understand and empathize with my students. I'm patient and let my students take the time they need to construct and produce their English.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
My lessons will mostly focus on daily conversation. We can choose a topic and talk about it - asking and answering each others' questions. I will introduce useful words and phrases that you can use in your conversations with English speakers. We can also do small activities such as grammar exercises; vocabulary worksheets; reading and listening practices.
I believe conversation is the key to really developing your language skills and not many language students get a chance to practise what they learn.
❗❗ I do not teach Kid's classes. I will teach from ages 16+.

We talked about a lot of funny things which happened on the Christmas day and Nwe year holiday！Teacher Karen is really nice！I learned some new words and phrases during class！This class is really great for me to unwind！

Very good topic of conversation: food. Karen makes the classes really interesting and enjoyable. He does everything possible to understand you despite the pronunciation, which, depending on the word, is very difficult for me.

The teacher has been very attentive to my feedback, and by today's third lesson, they provided a very comfortable and confident experience, tailoring the teaching style and content to suit me. Despite this being almost my first time with video lessons, I overcame my fear and felt that my English would improve. Thank you.
