🌸I've been teaching Japanese since 2016 for more than 250 students
🌸I was born and raised in Hiroshima.
🌸I lived in Tokyo, Moscow, Brisbane, LA.
🌸I have a lot of hobbies like, reading books, watching anime and dramas, traveling inside of Japan and abroad, running, taking pictures, visiting museums.
🌸My adorable dog is white shiba-inu❤
🌸2016年から日本語を教えています。

🌸東京、モスクワ、ブリスベン、ロサンゼルスに住んだことがあります。
🌸趣味がたくさんあります。本を読むこと、アニメやドラマを見ること、国内海外旅行をすること、ランニング、美術館を訪れることです。

Kotona sensei is an amazing teacher! Everytime I take a lesson with her, it's so fun and nice. It feels like talking with a friend and she has helped me improve my speaking inch by inch.

Kotona is an incredible teacher who is extremely organised, dedicated and knowledgeable. I started lessons with Kotona as a complete beginner which can be intimidating, but Kotona is so friendly, patient and encouraging that it's made learning not just approachable, but also a whole lot of fun!
Kotona takes great care in the structure of her lessons and has a variety of text, audio and video resources to help reinforce what she teaches. She uses a combination of structured learning and open conversation to make what you're learning relevant, and to give you context to apply your knowledge. She has a very strong understanding of how to help students understand the Japanese language and is able to clearly explain very complex topics!
Kotona has helped me improve my Japanese so much. She would be an excellent choice to help you too!

Kotona-sensei is great with personalizing lessons! I brought up an upcoming trip to Japan, and she took what we were learning at the time and worked that into a role play scenario of checking in at a hotel. She will find a way to incorporate interests that you've brought up into lessons. Can't recommend highly enough!

Another great lesson with Kotona-sensei! She has been teaching me for about 6 months. I hadn’t taken a lesson in 2 months, so I was nervous to come back. But it went fine!
I actually asked her to help me with understanding/translation of song lyrics. It made me really happy that she was accommodating with tailoring the lesson to my interests! After that, we did some listening and grammar practice as usual.
I always walk away from her lessons with more confidence and feeling like more of my goals are accomplished, which is why I keep signing up for lessons with her!
