Hello! Thank you for visiting my profile.
My name is Haruna. I was born and raised in Japan, and I am a native Japanese speaker who speaks standard Japanese. I lived abroad in Seattle for six months learning English. My hobbies include traveling, cooking, taking photos, and visiting cafes. I also love meeting new people and learning about different languages and cultures.
I would be happy to help you achieve your Japanese learning goals.

I completed Japanese Language Teacher Training Course at university, and received a qualification to teach professionally. I have over 3,500 hours of experience teaching Japanese to students ranging from beginner to advanced levels over the past four years. Additionally, while I was in university, I volunteered in the United States to support students learning Japanese. I am also studying multiple languages myself, so I fully understand the challenges of learning more than one language. Haven't had a lesson for a couple of weeks, but we jumped right in no problem. I missed our lessons and it felt good to get back into it. JLPT is in 2 months so now its really crunch time. I have no doubt I will pass with the help of Haruna sensei!

Haruna-sensei was very kind and I appreciated her thorough questions in order to get to know me and my learning goals. Though it was difficult to express myself at times, she listened patiently and asked clarifying questions to make sure she understood me. Haruna-sensei adjusted quickly to my level, and I felt that she was very willing to accommodate my requests for the lesson style. She provided useful information in the chat as well. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to study Japanese!
