🇮🇹 My name’s Matilda - you can call me Mati :) I’m an Italian native speaker. I’m from Pisa and I live, study and work in Siena. I have one year of experience on Italki and two years experience in real-life teaching.
I graduated (Bachelor’s degree) in Italian Language and culture, and I am about to graduate in Didactic of Italian as a second language (Master’s degree)
🗺️ I am open minded, creative and curious. I enjoy cultural exchange, I learn a lot from my students’ experiences. Teaching is my biggest passion! I also love travelling and studying other languages myself, and I enjoy literature, art, music and food.
🗣️ I encourage my students to speak, not to feel embarrassed when they make mistakes because they are 100% normal and part of the process.
🤓 My goal is helping you to feel comfortable and confident while making progress. I’m looking forward to helping you with the most challenging topics and answering all your questions.
I will adapt my classes to you the more I know you, to encounter your individual needs and personal interests.
❤️ I love an informal environment and I want my lessons to be as enjoyable as possible for you. Staying motivated is key in the process of leaning a second language, and I’ll do my best to make you reach your goals.
📚 I believe in a communicative approach, we’ll be using a variety of customized videos, songs and texts to expand your vocabulary and reinforce grammar structures.
