Hello!
My name is Teresa, and I am from Córdoba, a city in Andalusia, in southern Spain. After spending three wonderful years in India teaching at different IB schools, I am now in Azerbaijan, where I teach at an IB school. I currently teach MYP and DP Spanish ab initio, as well as online classes. I enjoy meeting people, learning, and sharing different cultures. I am an outgoing, open, and patient person who loves to travel and explore new places. Teaching is my passion, and I strive to create engaging and dynamic lessons that help my students develop confidence in Spanish.عني كمعلّم
As a teacher, I want to help you develop a solid command of Spanish by expanding your vocabulary, improving your grammar, and strengthening your listening and speaking skills. My approach is interactive and engaging, using conversation, cultural insights, videos, and games to make learning enjoyable. I can also prepare you for DELE, IGCSE, or IB exams, adapting lessons to your needs. Whether you are a beginner or want to refine your fluency, I will guide you effectively with dynamic and structured lessons. In my classes, I use supplementary materials and resources to reinforce learning both during and outside of lessons. I can prepare you for DELE, IGCSE, or IB exams, adapting content to your needs. If you are an adult learner, whether starting from scratch or improving fluency, I will guide you effectively. My method is interactive and engaging, using conversation, cultural insights, videos, and games. Teresa adapted the lesson to my level and challenged me a lot. It was difficult, but Teresa was encouraging and by the end I felt that I had definitely made progress. Teresa is patient and gave me the time to try and work out what I was trying to say, only helping me when I really needed it.

She was flexible, understanding and very competent. I am a difficult student because unlike someone who is learning a language for the first time, I am forgetting a language of which I used to have a mastery. So instead of building a road from scratch, Riding along a lesson with me, you are likely to run into great potholes all of a sudden! Teachers cannot just pick an introductory lesson, or even an intermediate or advanced lesson. She was extremely resourceful and creative in her approach with me to keep the conversation going, while filling in the gaps & potholes and reminding me of grammar points I may have lapsed on.
