Hello! I am Yukiko. I'm a Japanese language teacher living in Japan.
I used to study English as a hobby, and through that, my world expanded in amazing ways. I was able to talk to people from different countries, make friends abroad, and even welcome some of them .
Talking with people from different cultures helped me understand not only language, but also different ways of thinking and living. It changed my outlook on life.
I truly believe that learning a language is not just about words—it's also about learning culture, understanding others, and forming real connections.
Outside of teaching, I love spending time in nature. I enjoy camping, hiking, and playing outdoors with my kids.عني كمعلّم
I obtained my Japanese teaching certification. This certification changed my perspective on teaching Japanese as a foreign language. While using Japanese as a native speaker felt natural, teaching it required a different approach.
I'm a friendly and patient teacher who loves creating a fun and relaxed learning atmosphere. Let’s enjoy learning together!
At the core of my teaching philosophy is the relationship between learning, interest, and emotions. When learners are interested and emotionally engaged, the material becomes deeply ingrained. Enthusiasm and interest make learning more effective.

I have been learning from Yukiko-sensei for several months, and it has been a wonderful experience! Each class provides new information, while simultaneously building from what was learned in past lessons, which really helps to strengthen vocabulary.
Any time I have a question, Yukiko-sensei doesn’t hesitate to answer, giving clear and thorough explanations, and ensuring I understand whatever it was that I asked about.
In addition, Yukiko-sensei is very friendly and relatable, so each lesson is a lot of fun, and she does an amazing job of adapting to each individual’s learning style; for example, I tend to go off topic and I can sometimes take a long time answering simple questions, because I try to make sentences more detailed to gain experience using different words. This risks wasting time, but Yukiko-sensei does a great job of keeping me on topic without making me feel rushed!
Her lessons are fun and engaging, and the homework she provides helps immensely.
Highly recommend!
