Hello! I’m Yukiko, a certified Japanese teacher based in Japan. Do you feel like you study grammar… but can’t use it in conversation? 👉 Many of my students started as beginners and can now express themselves in Japanese. In my lessons, we don’t just learn Japanese — 👉 we turn grammar into real conversation. Now, they can express themselves and have real conversations. I have taught over 1,500 lessons and many of my students continue long-term, often for 20+ lessons. I’m patient, friendly, and I adjust every lesson to your level and goals. Each student has a different path — and I design lessons just for you. I also understand what it feels like to learn a language. Learning English opened my world, and I want to help you experience the same through Japanese. I have been learning from Yukiko-sensei for several months, and it has been a wonderful experience! Each class provides new information, while simultaneously building from what was learned in past lessons, which really helps to strengthen vocabulary. Any time I have a question, Yukiko-sensei doesn’t hesitate to answer, giving clear and thorough explanations, and ensuring I understand whatever it was that I asked about. In addition, Yukiko-sensei is very friendly and relatable, so each lesson is a lot of fun, and she does an amazing job of adapting to each individual’s learning style; for example, I tend to go off topic and I can sometimes take a long time answering simple questions, because I try to make sentences more detailed to gain experience using different words. This risks wasting time, but Yukiko-sensei does a great job of keeping me on topic without making me feel rushed! Her lessons are fun and engaging, and the homework she provides helps immensely. Highly recommend!
