こんにちは！ゆきです。
I was born and raised in Osaka, and now I’m based in Melbourne.
I am a full-time Japanese teacher, and I also have experience teaching in-person group lessons.
One of my strengths as a Japanese teacher is that I can teach in English. Most of my students are from places like the United States, Europe, and Australia, and I use English whenever it helps students understand better.
Also my husband is British, so we mainly communicate in English.
I used to be very shy but I love teaching and enjoy communicating with my students through lessons. Teaching is my passion!

Depending on students' Japanese level or demands, I change how I teach. In beginner lessons, I can use more English if needed.
Of course, even for beginners, I ask questions in Japanese that match their level and textbook progress. If you find it hard to answer in Japanese right away, instead of just giving you the answer, I will provide hints to guide you so that you can try to answer in your own words.
I would like my students to feel relaxed in my lessons so that they can speak Japanese even more spontaneously. So I always make sure my lessons are fun and not too intense.

📖Textbooks for Grammar Course
Beginner - A2 (初級) ："Genki" or "みんなの日本語"
A2 - B1 (初級～中級) ："いろどり初中級" or "中級へ行こう"
B1 (中級/N3) ："中級とびらⅠ" or Slides based on "N3文法スピードマスター", "TRY!日本語能力試験N3" etc)
In addition, I will use supplementary materials as needed, and listening practice is available as well.

**I'm not trained to teach younger learners online, so if the learner is under 18 years old, I may not accept the lesson request.

ゆき先生 has been very helpful in my Japanese-learning journey. She is very accomodating to my preferred learning style and pace!
She answers any questions I ask in English or Japanese, and she also talks to me and asks questions in Japanese, giving me great conversational practice at my own level.
She is also very encouraging -- she always tells me when I'm doing well, and when I do make a mistake, she corrects me quickly and kindly.

ゆき先生 has been very helpful in identifying what I’ve missed or don’t really understand from learning on my own. She has been able to explain everything very thoroughly in English which is extremely helpful. Both her English and Japanese are very easy to understand and follow. Her lessons have been both very informative and fun!

Yuki-san made me feel at easy and took her time to explain things and answer my questions. The lesson was structured well and Yuki-san made sure to focus on the relevant stuff in the textbook.
