I am a 38 year-old Israeli and have quite many hobbies such as learning languages, computer programming, singing, playing guitar, chess and table tennis. I also like reading history and interesting things in general.
I like an intelligent conversation, no matter what the subject is. Whether it's about the arts, philosophy, economics, science, etc. But I can also be easy going :)

I have been teaching Hebrew for a few years now.
I really like connecting with people, understanding their needs, and fulfilling them. It gives me great joy to help others and have good chemistry with them.
I believe it is necessary to learn grammar in order to understand how the language works, and also to speak and listen a lot in order to gain experience and fluency.5.0

Yakir is the best. I was blown away already in his first lesson. His teaching reflected his many years of experience. He was to the point. He knows exactly what parts of the language need to be prioritized and what sequence to follow. If you are serious about learning Hebrew and are up for a challenge, Yakir is the guy.

This lesson came after a week spent practicing Hebrew with my Israeli family. They commented about how my Hebrew had improved and wanted to know how - It's because of my hebrew instructor Yakir! This lesson we learned about some interesting useful structures which helped me to understand how to think about the future and the past when speaking.

Yakir is a very inspiring, calm and attentive teacher. He speaks Russian and often gives clear and interesting explanations using similarities between Russian and Hebrew. I plan to continue studying Hebrew with Yakir.
