Do you want to learn how to speak English like a native speaker? What about improving your English pronunciation and conversational skills? Do you want to be able to understand your favourite English movie without turning on subtitles or that one English song you always hear on the radio? What about reading historical texts by English poets, politicians and philosophers? If yes, then welcome! My name is Kat and I’m a Canadian university student studying economics and international relations. I have a passion for teaching and have over three years of English tutoring experience with high school and elementary school students. I can speak English, German and French (Québecois of course) and am currently learning Mandarin and Russian. What would our intro lesson look like? I want to get to know you! During our introductory lesson, we’d cover topics such as your current English level, your long-term language goals and a feasible learning plan on achieving those goals. What would our lessons look like? I like to have structured and organized teaching sessions compiled in slideshows, where my students finish each lesson feeling accomplished. Depending on your goals, expect a mixture of short stories and news articles (for reading comprehension), audio/video clips and music (for listening comprehension) and A1-C2 grammar practice for sentence structure and writing.
