Hello you can call me Hosi, Sia or Hosiana! I'm a happy soul living in Africa, Tanzania. I love meaningful conversations—whether it's about the philosophy of life, culture and people, or practical topics like real estate, business, technology, and employment. I'm always curious and eager to explore how we can create hope, not just for ourselves but for the whole world.عني كمعلّم
Swahili is one of the most widely spoken languages in Africa — especially across East Africa — and I’ve had the joy of teaching it for over 6 years, both part-time and full-time. One thing I’ve learned? No two students learn the same way! That’s what makes teaching so exciting. I love creating a relaxed space where my students can speak as naturally as possible — no pressure, just good vibes and steady progress. My lessons are all about lively, open conversations between me and my student(s). We don’t just stick to the script — we chat, we laugh, and we practice together throughout the session to make sure everything clicks. I know learning a new language can feel overwhelming, so I keep things light and interactive to make sure you're not just learning, but actually enjoying the journey. TutorOi Swahili is a Dar es Salaam–based language and culture teaching service that helps people from around the world learn Swahili through online and in-person classes. We offer both individual and group lessons, tailored to beginners, traveller, researchers, professionals, and anyone interested in connecting with Swahili-speaking communities. For those living in Dar es Salaam, we provide in-person classes for a more immersive experience. We also offer translation and transcription services.
