¡Hola! I’m Mhairi, a Scottish-English teacher with a passion for helping students speak confidently—whether for travel, work, or daily life. Having taught over 4,000 learners worldwide, I specialize in conversational practice, job interviews, and making grammar actually fun. Living in Mexico City (and learning Spanish myself!), I get the struggles of language barriers—so my classes are relaxed, supportive, and packed with real-life tips. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me hiking, practicing yoga, or exploring local markets for the best tacos. Let’s turn your English goals into reality—with a smile! 😊

I have been teaching English online for 3 years. I gained my certification through TEFL and also teach group classes in Mexico city. Over the years I spoken with over 4000 people from around the world, helping them on their English speaking journey. My priority is to help students gain confidence in speaking English and being comfortable in conversation with native speakers. As I am currently learning Spanish I understand the issues that can come along with speaking a new language and I aim to put those worries at ease, whilst expanding vocabulary and perfecting grammar. I excel in conversational English, job interview and grammar practise. Please note, any inappropriate communication will be immediately reported.

I have been taking lessons with Mhari, and so far, it has been a great experience! The lessons are very interesting and productive. We go through an article, which she sends beforehand, and we also have conversation practice. She is attentive to correcting mistakes in pronunciation and grammar. Mhari has been very patient, polite, and supportive! I really enjoy taking lessons with her!
