My name is Öznur. I'm a native Turkish speaker with over 17 years of teaching experience. I taught 8 years in a public school in Istanbul, and I teach Turkish to the Turkish lovers for more than 9 years.
I have Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education. I am fully dedicated to teaching Turkish to foreigners.

Mi chiamo Öznur. Sono madrelingua turca con oltre 14 anni di esperienza nell'insegnamento. Ho insegnato per 8 anni in una scuola pubblica a Istanbul e insegno turco agli stranieri da più di 9 anni. Ho una laurea e un master in Educazione. E posso insegnare il turco anche in lingua italiana.عني كمعلّم
I'm a flexible person and I love teaching. I teach, because I enjoy it. I believe the connection between student and teacher is crucial, because we don't simply learn a language, we share substantial time together (which is very important) and get to know each other.

My teaching methods are fast and efficient. Due to the lack of materials to teach Turkish and the inefficiency of the books, I have decided to create my own materials which contain images and texts. You will listen to my pronunciation, see the image and read the word at the same time. The more senses involved in the learning process, the better you learn. This way, you will learn Turkish faster and more easily.

I've completed 26 lessons with Öznur so far, and I can say it has been a fantastic experience. She is kind, smart, fun and very good when providing feedback to improve. She has sent me several homework exercises that have helped me practice during the week.
I started learning Turkish with Duolingo for 6 months, but I began making real progress when I began my lessons with Öznur. I recently sent her an email in Turkish, and I was surprised that I was able to write several paragraphs without a translator, except for a few words I had not learned yet. Totally recommended.

Öznur was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. This was my first ever lesson in Turkish, but she was patient with me as I used what little I know. I learned some new vocabulary and grammar, and talked about the culture as well. I'm looking forward to my next lesson!

I have been learning with Öznür for exactly 1 year now, and I can totally recommend her! She is enthusiastic, friendly, and authentic. The lessons are always varied, and she can quickly tailor the conversation, topics, and grammar to your level and interests thanks to her great experience as a teacher. Öznür works very hard for her students inbetween lessons too. She will always challenge you to get better, but most importantly the lessons are fun! Teşekkürler, Öznür!
