Hello! I’m Ayk. I’m a musician and sound technician, passionate about teaching Turkish in creative and practical ways. Growing up with the vibrant culture of Istanbul, I bring that same energy into our lessons through conversation, music, and everyday dialogues.

10 yaşında müzik okumaya ve birkaç yıl sonra da öğretmeye başladım. Farklı yaş gruplarından öğrenciler ile çalışma fırsatım oldu ve kendimden de biliyorum ki öğrenirken rahat hissetmek, hata yapmaktan çekinmemek ve keyif almak çok önemli bu nedenle önceliğim öğrencilerimin rahat hissedeceği verimli bir ortam sağlamak.
I started studying music when I was 10 and a few years later i started teaching music. I worked with different age groups and also learned from my students and myself that it's very important to have an enviorment which makes you feel comfortable and not nervous. The best way to learn a language is by speaking in that language as much as you can. From my own experiences learning English and my foreigner friends trying to learn Turkish, when you are learning a language by speaking you will improve your long term speaking and language level noticeably. I greatly enjoyed my first conversation class with Ayk. He speaks clearly and in a tranquil way, making it easier to understand and relax, which in turn motivates me to try and speak more. Moreover, he gave me a sense that there would be no shortage for interesting conversation topics. I look forward to my next iTalki session with him.
