I help students learn conversational useful Mandarin through my customized materials for each one!

*If this is your first time booking with me, please choose the time which is at least 3 days later, so that I can have enough time to customize materials for you.
I'm a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan and have been teaching nearly 4000 Mandarin lessons online the past 5 years, and helped more than 150 students improve their Mandarin skills.
I have multiple learning experiences with different languages, so I know how students feel and their struggles and am happy to support you along your Mandarin learning journey:)عني كمعلّم
As a full-time Mandarin teacher, I like to help my students learn what's useful in their daily life and topics they like talking about in their mother language! (That's also why I'm not specialized at teaching with text books.)
Therefore, please contact me & answer Qs below before booking a lesson, so that I can create your OWN customized material for you!

I focus on conversational practice (listening & speaking) the most, but I explain grammar points and vocabulary along the process to help my students build up their Mandarin database.
For focusing on a specific grammar point, please let me know in advance, so that I can prepare some material to show you and explain better!
*Student being late or absent still pay the full price. (Teacher will wait for the whole scheduled time even if students being late.)
*No rescheduling nor refund within 24 hours notice. Teacher has saved the time slot, won't be able to fill in with another student if the original one cancel or reschedule.

I've only had two lessons so far and already love learning Chinese with her! I love that my sessions are conversational in format and casual in tone, but Yi-cheng still provides the structure of audio and pdf materials of for th vocab/grammar we went over in the past class. She is also so bright and hilarious, so I'm also just having a great time reconnecting with my native language! Thank you! So happy to find a great teacher - looking forward to many future sessions!

Yi-Cheng is awesome! I've been having lessons for a long time now. The classes are customised around my daily life and what I need to know, and I feel like I'm improving a lot over time. She also sends me a document with all the words that we've used and an audio recording for me to review.
She's also really friendly, approachable and easy to talk to. Conversation flows naturally with lots to talk about as she's always well prepared, and I always have a great time.

I love my lessons with Yi-Cheng! She is always bright and organized and it perfectly fits my desire to have regular conversational practice that puts me JUST outside of my comfort zone but doesn't overwhelm me. I'm several sessions in and still enjoying my time with her - thank you, Yi-Cheng!
