My name is Ekaterina Gritsan. I graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University with a degree in Byzantine and Modern Greek Philology. Also, I have a master's degree in French literature from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and PhD in early Modern Greek folk literature of the same University. For the last fifteen years I have been living in Greece, in the magnificent city of Thessaloniki, which has preserved many traces of the rich Greek history.

I am a certified teacher of Greek language (Ancient and Modern) and literature, as well as Russian as a foreign language. At the moment I have been teaching Greek for twenty years and Russian for fifteen years. I prepare students for certification exams in Greek ("Πιστοποίησης Επάρκειας της Ελληνομάθειας") and for exams for obtaining Greek citizenship, as well as for State certification exams in Russian as a foreign language. In addition, I teach Latin to high school students. My teaching experience also includes teaching ancient Greek and Modern Greek literature.

دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي

I believe that sometimes teachers do not reveal the potential of students, as they apply a unique method to all students, so I always try to understand the individual needs and a student-specific approach to learning. Based on this information, I create or compile material that is suitable specifically for him. Also, I try to listen to their wishes and complaints in order to improve the material I use. Thus, I use both standard textbooks and my own materials, as well as audio-visual materials.

It's two months past. So far so good. I like Katerina's patience and discipline. She uses different materials for the class lessons and for the homework, not only ΚΛΙΚ schoolbook.

I have been learning Greek with Ekaterina for about five months, and during this time we have had a bit more than 40 lessons. The progress is good, thanks to her teaching, I was able to learn the reading, writing, and listening. Speaking thought is still a challenge. I would like to note her methodical and attentive approach: every rule and exercise is explained in detail, and after each lesson she sends a summary with the rules, new words, and completed tasks. She is quite a demanding teacher, which helps to keep discipline and stay motivated. This style is suitable for students who are ready to work seriously. I am grateful to Ekaterina for her effort and professional attitude.
