नमस्ते ! Namaste ! Bonjour ! Hello ! My name is Rijendra Shrestha, I live in Kathmandu and I speak French, English, Newari and Hindi. I am a Nepali and French language teacher, translator and author of French grammar books. I have a deep interest in other cultures and how people learn new languages. During my four years in France, I met people from different countries who were interested in Nepal. Thanks to them, I learned many things, of which I was not aware about my own country and culture. I am sure that you already know few words in Nepali, "namaste", "yoga", "Himalaya", "stupa", "yak"... Helping my students to learn Nepali is my main motivation. I have been teaching Nepali for 7 years and French for 12 years. I am a certified teacher with a master degree in teaching French as a foreign language. I am very patient with my students and believe that everyone learns at different pace. All my teaching methods suit my students' needs. Being once a student of French and English languages, I know what difficulties and challenges one faces while learning a new language. دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
I teach in a friendly atmosphere during our one-to-one lessons. I use diverse tools to make the lessons interactive and entertaining, such as famous Nepali songs lyrics, restaurant menus, pictures from the daily life in Kathmandu, interactive online vocabulary exercises. If you are a beginner, you will be learning how to greet in Nepali, introduce yourself, ask basic questions, talk about your family, useful sentences for shopping... In a few lessons, you will also learn to make simple sentences using basic structures of Nepali and Nepali alphabets. Rijendra est un professeur exceptionnel. Il est très professionnel et il est clair qu'il possède une grande expérience de l'enseignement. Il sait adapter ses cours de façon à rejoindre vos objectifs, que ce soit pour apprendre à se débrouiller rapidement en népalais ou de faire un apprentissage plus en profondeur de la langue. En plus, il est très sympathique et toujours de bonne humeur.

Rijendra is an excellent teacher, I highly recommend him. He's patient and encouraging, and his lessons are always engaging, with plenty of speaking practice. After just three lessons I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I can say and understand. Thanks Rijendra!
