Shalom, I’m Dorit. Born and raised in Israel, I have 17 years of experience teaching Hebrew in the US, along with 10 years online. I’ve worked with learners of all ages in both one-on-one and group settings.
My approach is warm, personal, and flexible: I tailor each lesson to your interests (food, history, etc.). Using my own recorded stories and a variety of materials we build vocabulary, grammar, and confidence naturally. As a licensed tour guide, I also teach about Israel.
I’m a people person, yet focused on helping you make real progress. Lessons emphasize speaking and reading, with optional h.w. for extra practice.

I tailor my classes to the individual student - the content and material I bring are chosen according to what you express interest in. So if you are interested in astronomy, we will learn Hebrew using astronomy; and if you want to read the Bible, we will do that. I really enjoy teaching people about Israel and Judaism, and so I also have an array of materials about these subjects. In addition I've created short recorded stories, accompanied by a PDF and a dictionary, where the student learns verb conjugation, sentence structure and vocabulary, while listening to stories.
I am a people's person, and as such many of my students became my friends. However, I still make them work and advance their Hebrew. In our lessons we talk and we read. Homework is where we review and read and write.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Judaic TeacherTaught mainly Hebrew, but also Bible, Israel, and Religion. Taught 1st grade (6 yrs old) to 8th grade (14 yrs old) as well as prepared for the NY State Regents exam (needed to get into college).

TeacherI taught individuals and small groups - both children, adults, and mixed groups. Most of the individuals and groups worked with me for at least two years.

For our first lesson, she put everything on Google Docs introduction, what your name where do you live, it was easy, Dorit listen to me and allowed me to state what I wanted to get out of this listen/teaching. I look forward to our next lesson.
Now the task of doing homework. learning never stops. I'll be speaking, understanding, reading and writing Hebrew soon enough.

Yes, we had a good lesson today. I have brought 20 new words and we agreed to learn sentences with those words. One day before the meeting I met a girl friend and I collected some other 20 words.
So Dorit agreed when the lesson started.
Those 20 words given first, we will learn within the next lesson and, yes, she helped me to learn those new 20 words which I collected one day before the lesson.
Thank you Dorit.
And she was present at the PC although there was a situation of war in her land. She did not know whether our lesson would be interrupted by a sirene, but luckily it wasn't.
But thank you very much Dorit
for being present at the PC although your country is in this difficult situation.
