My name is Dorit, born and raised in Israel, and moved to the US as an adult, where I acquired 17 years of experience in teaching Hebrew as a second language. I have taught children from the age of 6 (1st grade) to 14 (8th grade), as well as teenagers and adults. I've also prepared children for the Regents exam which is a mastery exam and a requirement for college in NY. Over the years I have taught everything from one-on-one to big groups. I tailor my lessons to the student's individual needs and interests (food, history, science, etc.), and specialize in teaching about Israel as well. I tailor my classes to the individual student - the content and material I bring are chosen according to what you express interest in. So if you are interested in astronomy, we will learn Hebrew using astronomy; and if you want to read the Bible, we will do that. I really enjoy teaching people about Israel and Judaism, and so I also have an array of materials about these subjects. In addition I've created short recorded stories, accompanied by a PDF and a dictionary, where the student learns verb conjugation, sentence structure and vocabulary, while listening to stories.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
I am a people's person, and as such many of my students became my friends. However, I still make them work and advance their Hebrew. In our lessons we talk and we read. Homework is where we review and read and write.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

This time we exercised the Hebrew print letters, written by Hand. Dorit sent me a page with detailed instructions how to exactly write every letter. I wrote very slowly but she was patient with me and I was not ashamed that I wrote the letters like a pupil of the first class. :-)

Yes, we had a good lesson today. I have brought 20 new words and we agreed to learn sentences with those words. One day before the meeting I met a girl friend and I collected some other 20 words.
So Dorit agreed when the lesson started.
Those 20 words given first, we will learn within the next lesson and, yes, she helped me to learn those new 20 words which I collected one day before the lesson.
Thank you Dorit.
And she was present at the PC although there was a situation of war in her land. She did not know whether our lesson would be interrupted by a sirene, but luckily it wasn't.

for being present at the PC although your country is in this difficult situation.
