Hi, I'm Nikki, 29 years old and I'm from Amsterdam. After years of traveling and working in places all over the world, I'm still a typical 'Kaaskop' and traveling has actually made me more enthusiastic about teaching people more about the Dutch language and culture.
I speak Dutch, English and Spanish and am studying German, Italian and Arabic - so I know how hard it is to learn a new language and can be of great help.
I have a lot of interests and experience many different things through my work as a traveling photographer and filmmaker, so don't worry we don't have anything to talk about.عني كمعلّم
I'm quite relaxed and patient, but I will definitely challenge you enough to make sure your level goes up every class. I do think however, that it's okay to make plenty of mistakes since this is a big part of learning a new language and also from what you learn the most. So during our conversations or an exercise I will mainly let you go ahead and discuss some corrections later, instead of constantly interrupting you.
The most important thing is that you get a lot of practice with the language, that speaking Dutch becomes comfortable for you and that you show progress instead of shutting down because you're striving for perfection :) دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
I tailor my classes to what you personally need. So whether you're advanced or just starting out, anything is possible!
Also the subject is entirely up to you: if you want to focus on grammar, we'll do that. If you want to expand your vocabulary, we'll do that! We can focus on specific topics that apply to your life, because you learn a language in order to communicate about your work, hobbies, interests - and not just to list the 1000 most used words of a language.

Nikki is a fantastic teacher and I recommend her without reservation. Her energy is infectious and our time flew by with never a dull moment. Our lessons were tremendously fun, with Nikki encouraging the conversations with topics, questions, and stories. Her teaching is clear, supportive, and instructive.

I spent the whole winter doing weekly conversation lessons with Nikki and it helped my Dutch level so much!
Nikki is really great at coming up with topics, asking good questions, and giving you lots of time and space to talk. The conversations are always fun and her Dutch is very clear and easy to understand for learners.
She also takes very useful notes during the session which helped me make flashcards to fill in a lot of my vocab/grammar gaps in Dutch.

Nikki is super! She’s not only a good teacher (explains with different words, is patient while you think about building your sentence, notes new vocabulary for you) but also engaging and overall fun to talk to
