I am Nayana from Sri Lanka, and I am a Sinhala native speaker myself. I speak two languages Sinhala and English. Also, I am an English learner myself. I have been practicing my English speaking skills while interacting with people worldwide and creating content for language learners to inspire them. I am here to help you to improve your Sinhala language skills. I mainly focus on conversation practice as it is crucial to improve speaking skills. By the way, I'll guide you to improve your writing and listening comprehension skills. I'll assist you and guide you, and I'll be your speaking partner. I am a TEFL-certified teacher. I've earned some teacher training course certificates on the British Council website (www.teachingenglish.org.uk) as well. I used to work as a computer trainer at a computer institute and also have teaching experience through volunteering. My experiences as an English learner have equipped me to understand the challenges of language learners better, and I am more than willing to share some of the methods that have been effective during my own language-learning journey. I would start with basic Sinhala lessons such as the alphabet (if necessary), basic grammar, and day-to-day conversational Sinhala sentences, and then smoothly move on to advanced lessons. I will provide pdf notes and whatever effective materials that I can provide for learners. most importantly, I will pay attention to the demands and needs of the students. I really enjoyed my first lesson with Nayana learning Sinhala. The lesson was really well structured with excellent resources and she helped me gain a good understanding of what we covered, despite how different Sinhala is to English. She was kind and supportive and I left feeling really encouraged that I can make progress. I've booked some further lessons and am looking forward to learning with Nayana.
