My name is Debbie. With 40 years of teaching experience, I’m passionate about helping children and adults enjoy learning Afrikaans and English. If you want a friendly, supportive tutor who truly cares, I’m here for you. Ek gesels graag in Afrikaans en deel my liefde vir die taal met elke student. After years in the classroom, I now focus on online tutoring. If you’re looking for a cheerful, positive, kind tutor, I’m the right person. Ek is ook baie gemaklik om in Afrikaans te kommunikeer.
I am an approachable and reliable teacher. I take pride in my ability to teach and make time for my students. You need never feel afraid to ask me anything. My main purpose is to help YOU!
When one has taught for as long as I have, you learn to "read" your students and then adapt lessons accordingly. You will never feel alone in your new language journey because I will be there for you all the way! With my encouragement, you will become confident and feel comfortable when speaking in your new language.

Debbie is amazing as a teacher!! I had other two Afrikaans teachers and they were hard to understand but Debbie knows what she is doing and started from the very beginning and slowly for me to understand better. Everything that she teaches me in the day stays in my head so quickly.
