My name is Debbie. After 40 years of successful teaching, I decided to stop classroom teaching and focus instead on online tutoring of both children and adults. I have found this to be most rewarding. If you are looking for a cheerful, positive, kind tutor, I am the right person for you. When one has taught for as long as I have, you learn to "read" your students. I am fortunate enough to quickly assess what my students require and then adapt my lessons accordingly. You will never feel alone in your new language journey because I will be there for you all the way! With my encouragement, you will become confident and feel comfortable when speaking in your new language.

I have been working with Debbie for more than six months, and I have improved my Afrikaans so much by taking lessons with her. Debbie is kind, friendly, and passionate about teaching. She uses many approaches, including exercises like reading short funny stories. She makes grammar and vocab easy to understand. Debbie is amazing as a teacher!! I had other two Afrikaans teachers and they were hard to understand but Debbie knows what she is doing and started from the very beginning and slowly for me to understand better. Everything that she teaches me in the day stays in my head so quickly.
I completely recommend everyone to have Debbie as their teacher 💕💕
