Hi, I’m Via! I’m from the Philippines🇵🇭 and I’m passionate about teaching. I speak both Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya), and I’d love to help you learn either or both! I am a certified TEFL teacher and a licensed teacher in the Philippines. Teaching and making new friends are things I really enjoy, so it’s awesome that I get to do both here on Italki. Our focus will be on understanding how you learn best, tailoring our approach to match your unique needs. This means selecting the right methods, materials, and pace that suit you individually. Please feel free to share any specific topics you're interested in, or if you're unsure, I’m happy to suggest some based on your goals and preferences. Our lessons are designed for learners of all levels, whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your skills. A wide range of lesson options is available, allowing you to focus on areas that best suit your needs and interests. You may choose to focus on everyday vocabulary, engage in meaningful conversations about topics you like, practice language for real-life situations, or themes like family and relationships.

Highly recommend Via for Tagalog lessons!! each session teacher is very positive and patient and adapts to students' needs. I know Via can keep me accountable and motivated to learn tagalog. I went from beginner phrases to sentence building in a couple of weeks and am excited to see where I'm at going forward. 🇵🇭🛩

Via is a very fun and effective teacher! She's great with having me speak as I learn, and having me use new words in several different easy ways immediately. She is super nice and full of energy. She even made "dark mode" learning materials for me upon request, which I'm so grateful for!
