Hi!
My name is Elisabeth and I am a native Norwegian speaker from Kristiansand, Norway. I have taught hundreds of Norwegian lessons online and tutored for more than 10 years. I started out teaching on Preply, but recently transferred to Italki, and I love it! I have traveled and lived all over the world, but spent the last 20 years in the United States, where I have been studying a lot. I have an MA in Psychology and Counseling, BA's in Biology and Political Science, and MA's in Political Science and Theology in the works. I hope to start medical school this fall and become a radiologist. In my free time I love to travel with my Boston Terrier, read, work out, cook and listen to music.عني كمعلّم
I do not have a single approach to teaching because all of my students are different. This year I have had a lot of students pass language exams and citizenship tests at various levels. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, I will adapt my teaching style to your needs. During our first lesson I try to get to know you a little bit better and understand how you best learn, and then we decide on an approach together. I often use a textbook when I teach, combined with online exercises and quizzes, but I am flexible and willing to work with your learning style. I hope to see you in my class soon!دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
I have loved teaching and coaching all of my life. I grew up in elite gymnastics and coached gymnastics for more than 10 years. I have tutored thousands of students in academic subjects, and I am a natural cheerleader. I want you to succeed and reach your goals! My hope is that you will have fun, build your confidence, and grow to love the Norwegian language and our culture! Elisabeth is a fantastic teacher! She explains the concepts very clearly and systematically and is great at providing useful examples to help further my knowledge. I would definitely recommend her to any student wanting to learn Norwegian at any level!

I’ve had the pleasure of studying norwegian with Elisabeth for some lessons now and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is not just a great teacher but also an exceptional tutor over all.
Elisabeth tailors her lessons around the students specific needs, she is engaging and effective in her teaching style. She is completely dedicated to the student’s progress and will go the distance to make sure that the student feels confident in their skills. In addition to that she has always been available whenever I needed to communicate something with her.
Learning norwegian with Elisabeth is a great pleasure and under her guidance I feel very confident that I’ll be able to achieve my goals.

Elisabeth is a very intelligent, educated and friendly tutor! I really liked our trial lesson where we got the chance to know a little bit about each other and find out we share a lot in common!
