Hello! I’m Jake, a TEFL-certified native English teacher from the UK. I specialize in **conversational fluency, academic English, and business communication**, helping students from beginner to advanced levels. I used to teach in a local ESL school in Newcastle, teaching 1-to-1 classes, small groups and conversational classes. These included students from all backgrounds, countries, age groups and levels from beginner to advanced. Now, I tutor students privately online and hope that I will be tutoring you in the future too!
I enjoy teaching all parts of English such as vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, grammar, pronunciation and everything else. English is best learnt through a combination of these with more focus given to areas which need them, which is what we will be doing!دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
We will use different materials depending on you wish to learn. If you would like to focus primarily on speaking, then I have several conversation books with a range of topics which also incorporate relevant vocabulary. If you wish to take a more holistic approach, I generally use the latest English File books which include all aspects of English in a structured way. As a rule, in class we will do the speaking, reading and grammar activities together and the listening and writing tasks will be for homework. PhD ResearcherThe role of PhD Researcher meant that I conducted in-depth qualitative, sociological research. This included carrying out numerous online interviews, transcription, academic writing/publishing, presentations and so on. Many of these skills, especially the interviewing and use of academic English/presentation are highly transferable to teaching.

ake is a very cool, systematic teacher. Everything he does is clear and well-thought-out. At the same time, he is a super flexible and client-oriented tutor. He is always proactive and listens to feedback. Jake works with teenagers and actively participates in discussions about their day and vacation experiences. He is an inquisitive teacher, thereby developing children's speaking skills by asking them questions and sharing his own experiences through the children's interests. I highly recommend him as an English language teacher.
