Bonjour ! I’m French, and I’ve been living in Paris. French is my native language, and I’m passionate about languages and travel. I’ve had the opportunity to live in both Belgium and Italy, and part of my family lives in Brazil. These experiences have made me open-minded and eager to meet new people and explore different cultures. I love sharing the French culture – from its language to its history, traditions, and way of life. Je suis française et je vis à Paris. Le français est ma langue maternelle, et je parle aussi anglais et italien. J’aime partager la culture, la langue, l’histoire et les traditions de la France. I hold a degree from the Alliance Française & a Master's in French as a Foreign Language from the Sorbonne. I am also certified for the DELF & DALF exams A1 B2. I have several years of experience teaching to adults (A0 to C1 ), mainly expatriates in Paris & to students at University. I am patient & caring, my goal is to make learning French an enjoyable experience. Our lessons will focus on speaking skills, with the goal of helping you structure your language more effectively, expand your vocabulary, and improve your grammar. Each lesson has a specific communicative objective and typically begins with an audio clip, video, or text tailored to your interests, level, and learning goals. Based on this material, I will help you develop your skills through exercises, role plays, discussions, or debates Please note I don't teach to students under 12.

This was the first occasion that I had spoken French to anyone so it was pretty daunting. Axelle is a very pleasant person and clearly a good teacher. She outlined the lesson clearly and mixed her approach in French and English adjusting it when she could see I was struggling with French writing her questions and my responses in French as I read much more than I speak. Axelle gave me some good feedback on my level of French and outlined a plan for improvement. All in all a good first lesson. Mercy a Axelle.

Axelle is an extremely encouraging and knowledgeable instructor, who knows exactly where to intervene with exercises, grammatical explanations, and supplementary vocabulary. I was stunned by the fact that in today's lesson, the subjunctive exercise that she had prepared for me consisted entirely of sentences specific to my field of work (which is rather niche). I have never experienced lessons so tailor-made to my language goals. Do your French a favor and book a lesson with Axelle!
