Growing up in a close-knit farming community, I fell in love with the rhythm and richness of Afrikaans—a language I now teach with cultural insight and patience. My background in Psychology and Linguistics helps me tailor lessons to how *you* learn best, whether you’re starting with "Hoe gaan dit?" or diving into literature. I really enjoyed our Afrikaans lesson. Maronel prepared a few roleplaying exercises and provided feedback, and then we did a reading comprehension exercise. Maronel was friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout the lesson. I'm feeling more confident about my ability to hold conversations in Afrikaans and look forward to more lessons!

Maronel is the best! Each lesson is tailored toward my progress. She is patient and fun. The lessons are a personalized mix of grammar and sentence structure, but also fun things like reading or role-playing so it never gets boring or overwhelming. Highly recommend!
