Kumusta! I’m Jhon, a licensed Filipino teacher and Senior High School educator from the Philippines. I specialize in Tagalog and Cebuano, with over 3 years of experience teaching both online and offline. I’ve helped more than 50 students confidently speak and use the language in real-life situations.
My lessons are structured, practical, and tailored to your goals—whether for travel, family, or heritage. I focus on clear explanations, real conversations, and cultural understanding. Each session includes personalized materials and review PDFs to ensure steady progress.
I’m results-driven and committed to helping you improve efficiently. I currently offer limited availability (3 hours daily) on italki due to my full-time teaching role, so I prioritize serious and motivated learners.

Teacher Jhon adapted quickly to my needs during the trial lesson and even came up with phrases and examples for me to use and translate. I am currently in a weird spot where i know just enough to understand but not enough to speak so it was refreshing for him to be so patient and understanding.
