Shalom! 🙋🏼♂️ I’m Shai, a native Hebrew speaker from Israel 🇮🇱, now living in São Paulo 🇧🇷.
Learning a language should be fun, natural, and stress-free, and that’s exactly how I teach.
Whether you're a beginner or already understand some Hebrew, I’ll help you build confidence and enjoy the process.
My lessons focus on real-life Hebrew: music, culture, slang, and everyday conversations.
Since I learned English as a child and Portuguese as an adult, I understand what it’s like to learn a new language.

I learned English as a kid through MTV and The Sims game, so I know how powerful real-life content can be.
As I learn Portuguese 🇧🇷, I understand the struggles of learning a new language and how important it is to feel safe and supported.

Shai is a great teacher! He is organized, patient, and very helpful with reading and pronunciation. I enjoy his communicative approach, speaking Hebrew from the start, but always keeping the student in mind. I have learned a lot in the first few lessons and look forward to continuing with Shai in the future! Highly recommend!

Shai is brilliant tutor. He's great at keeping the conversation flowing in Hebrew while making corrections, and always sends a helpful list of corrections and new words after each lesson. He is also attentive in making sure the lessons fit my specific needs.

I've had a fair amount of lessons with Shai now, and he is a really good teacher. He uses a wide range of materials which help in different ways and my speaking has improved so much since I started learning with him. For the first time in years on my last trip to Israel, I actually managed to speak more than very basic Hebrew in places where there did not speak English. I'd fully recommend learning with Shai to anyone considering learning Hebrew
