Hoi! I’m a certified Dutch and English teacher from the Netherlands, passionate about helping students live a language through culture, conversation, and creativity. My adventures abroad —from teaching in international primary schools to becoming ESL-certified in Peru— taught me how to make learning feel like exploring. When I’m not working, you’ll find me drawing, making music, reading or exploring somewhere outdoors. I love everything creative and I'm always collecting inspiration to share in class!عني كمعلّم
I studied to become an international primary school teacher and have my Dutch teaching qualification for primary schools as well. I have taught abroad in international schools for my studies and was also a classroom teacher in a Dutch primary school (grades 2 & 6) for two years after finishing university. There, I also worked on curriculum design for English and IT. After university, I obtained my TEFL certification in Peru, where I realized I love teaching people of all different ages. Finally, I obtained my certification for Dutch as a second language and have spent almost a year teaching my native language to teenagers and adults immigrating into the Netherlands.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
I enjoy creating interactive lessons that require the student to think, but mostly ''do''! I believe languages are best learned by being fully immersed in them. Students learn best through realistic situations and by getting a lot of time to talk. I value creating a bond with my students and learning about them as they learn from me, so I'm always looking for new ways to meet your personal learning needs!
In my lessons, I use ''dry'' materials such as coursebooks and worksheets, but I also believe that a variety of learning materials is the best way to immerse oneself in a new language. As I love anything creative, I also use a lot of media, stories, games and visuals!موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Docent Nederlands als Tweede Taal - NHL Stenden - 2025Study included 420 hours of classes around language policy, language education and cultural diversity, as well as 420 hours of teaching in a Nt2-school. I taught half a year at the Internationale Schakelklas (ISK) for young students aged 12-18 immigrating into the Netherlands. This certification allows me to teach Dutch as a second language to people of all ages and had a big focus on cultural diversity and teaching in a multicultural classroom as well.

I highly recommend Kyra as an English teacher. She has helped me to improve my fluency in the language while providing feedbacks on my pronunciation and grammar mistakes. I feel much more comfortable (and confident) to speak with natives since I started taking classes with her.
