Hi, I’m Roberta, a native Italian speaker with a degree in Social Anthropology. I work as an HR Manager in a translation company and have been teaching on italki since June 2017. I understand the challenges of mastering a new language as an adult, and I offer thoughtful, personalized lessons designed for curious and motivated learners. Whether you aim to speak confidently during your travels, refine your pronunciation, expand your vocabulary, or explore Italy’s rich culture, history and lifestyle, I’ll guide you with patience and precision. I strive to create a calm, welcoming atmosphere where you can feel completely at ease. In our first lesson, I’ll introduce myself and ask a variety of questions to understand your goals, interests, and learning style—so I can tailor each session specifically to you. Every student is unique, and my approach is based on flexibility and personalisation. I speak Italian as much as possible, adapting the pace to your preference—slow and clear or more natural and fast—and I’m happy to use English whenever needed.

I’m an experienced tutor with years of practice helping learners improve their Italian in a relaxed, engaging way. If you already know the basics (A1), we can start a stimulating and productive journey together. My lessons are varied and enjoyable, always tailored to your goals. I use flashcards, books, articles, song lyrics, and more—depending on your interests. With Roberta I've done any kind of exercices I needed to manage in italian my groups in Paris. She's very organized, friendly and enthusiastic. We have studied with varied materials, exercices, practiced grammar structures and discussed what I have chosen. For the best we have done together topics for my meetings in italian and she always gave me good advices and methods to get people talking. I strongly recommend her ! Jacques

We worked on pronunciation and translation today. Roberta's style of teaching is very helpful: it is relaxed enough to be reassuring to the student whilst also being quietly focused so that mistakes are indicated in a non threatening and friendly way. This is an excellent atmosphere within which to study and progress because the confidence of the student is never knocked back.

I have started lessons with Roberta to help me prepare for a year in Italy, she is welcoming and friendly, easy to talk to and make mistakes with, which is important while you're learning a new language because you will make a lot! Great teacher, and explains things simply.
