Ahoj! I’m Chris—a native Czech speaker and TEFL-certified tutor with 6+ years of teaching at a Prague international school. Born in New York but with one foot in Czech culture (thanks to summers and family here!), I specialize in helping beginners and intermediates speak confidently through relaxed, practical lessons. Whether you’re prepping for travel, family chats, or just love the language, let’s make learning feel like a lively conversation over fancy tea. Bonus: I’m also a science nerd (studying Ecology now!), so expect fun facts! *now with new and "improved" hair. When I taught in Prague, I always tried to make sure students had fun, and that lessons had some practical use in the real world around the students. On italki I can offer conversational lessons in Czech, or some grammar if you'd like. I like to keep things casual, find practical, real world examples or applications of lessons, and learn by doing as much as possible.
