Hi, I am Alexander from Bulgaria. I've always loved languages as vehicles for understanding other cultures and peoples and try to get to the near-native level on the ones I choose. Currently the one that has my focus is Japanese.عني كمعلّم
My hope as a teacher is to fulfill the goals that students set for themselves at the start of their language learning. Maybe they want basic conversational skills, maybe they want fluency. I just give them the instruments to get there.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
Tldr: learning how to effectively self-study a given language, while practicing speaking and listening.
I find that self-study through comprehensible input is the best method of learning for me, and a lot of other people. With that point of view, I guide the students through a series of steps that give them the know-how of how to learn effectively by themselves, while still being motivated to continue studying. (Side note: Somewhat qualified for helping students with ADD/ADHD, as one of my main methods is building consistent habits.) I help them with learning natural speech and dialogue in Bulgarian.5.0

Aleksandar exceeded my expectations this lesson! I had given him a list of words I was studying beforehand, and he thoughtfully structured the session around them. We started with a quick alphabet recap and a few tongue twisters to warm up and practice pronunciation. Then, he provided me with a short text he had written using my vocabulary list; I read it aloud and translated it, picking up some new words along the way.
We also did practical role plays, like hiring a taxi (from the phone call to arriving at the destination) and going grocery shopping. It was so helpful to use the words I had been studying in realistic contexts, while also learning many new, useful phrases.
Throughout the lesson, Aleksandar was incredibly accommodating, encouraging, and helpful. I enjoyed it!

Aleksandar was very flexible and allowed me to take the lead in deciding what and how I wanted to learn, which I truly appreciated. He was very encouraging and genuinely invested in helping me learn Bulgarian. He also thoughtfully asked if I had any questions about my upcoming trip to Bulgaria, and kindly answered all of them, which made me feel extra supported :)
