Hello everyone! my name is Amie Matu-og, and I am thrilled to be your Tagalog and Cebuano teacher I have 3 formal years teaching experienced, with a passion for making learning engaging and accessible for all students. I believe in creating a supportive and interactive classroom where students feel encouraged to ask questions and explore their ideas. My goal is to help you learn how to speak Cebuano & Tagalog . I look forward to working with all and making this an exciting learning journey.
In my classroom, I prioritize interactive learning and aim to build a positive relationship with each student. I encourage open dialogue, creative thinking, and collaboration to make lessons dynamic and relevant. I also believe in integrating technology and real-world examples into my lessons to help students connect their learning to everyday life. Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, cooking, baking and gardening which I often inspires my approach to teaching and helps me relate to students on a more personal level.
As a teacher, my lesson and teaching styles are centered around creating an interactive and student-centered learning environment. I strive to make my lessons both engaging and meaningful by incorporating a variety of teaching methods and tools. I aim to design lessons that are clear, structured, and adaptable to the needs of my students. it was absolutely brilliant. I now understand the basic phonetic structure and alphabet system of Cebuano. The specific phonetic nuances and differences were discussed. It was a structured class, paced around the individual learning. lots of recall, and self input. lots of personal participation. great feed back given and lots of learnings related to a person's experience so they own the learnings. Great job. wonderful language tutor. and I can be a very demanding student wanting to ask lots of questions. But because of the teachers ability to remain task focused, we achieved allot. ps all of my questions and thoughts were addressed as the teacher has excellent empathy and understanding of her student needs.
