I am Linda Sijavu, a dedicated TEFL-certified educator based in Durban, South Africa. Originally from Queenstown in the Eastern Cape, I hold a degree from Durban University of Technology. As a mother of three I bring patience and understanding to my teaching practice. My passion for empowering learners drives my work on italki, where I specialize in beginner-level English with a focus on building conversational confidence. I value the intercultural exchange that online teaching facilitates, appreciating how it allows me to both educate and learn from students worldwide. My teaching philosophy centres on creating a supportive, judgment-free environment.عني كمعلّم
I am a conversational teacher because I like to connect with my students, I want my students to feel comfortable so that trust is built and they know that I am here to help them in their learning journey. Think of me as if you will be talking to your friend that lives far away.
After trust is built than we can go on to learning pronunciations, verbs, grammar etc one step at a time.
I am patient, compassionate and a good listener. When you listen to another person they feel seen, respected, loved and cared for that is just how humans are.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
My lessons will be one on one , student-centred approach. I use visual aids e.g power point presentation and images to teach I am also open to new kinds of material for teaching so that the learner's needs are met. We will also learn pronunciations, verbs, grammar. My teaching style is conversational and relaxed the student is free to ask me to assist with any particular needs they might have when it comes to English whether exams or test preparation.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس
