Diogo Santos

Diogo is a great teacher. The lessons flow very naturally and always feel light, energetic and fun. At the same time he’s very detail oriented. Although I make many mistakes I always feel encouraged to continue rather than judged. Highly recommend.

Diogo is super friendly and great at helping me with my pronunciation, even with the more subtle aspects of speaking. He also helped me choose which phrases to use over others to give my speaking variety and seem more authentically Brazilian. The majority of teachers on Italki seem to be from central or southern Brazil, so definitely add Diogo to the mix to get variety in accents (Diogo speaks very clearly, so don't worry about that). Highly recommended!

Super class today!! The attention to detail is second to none - I think it takes a lot for an instructor to be tuned into the student’s conversation while catching mistakes and being ready to give detailed feedback on them all- I really appreciate being in a class like this and I can easily see how this type of class will help me to grow so much in the near future ! Can’t wait until next class!!!

I have had more than five lessons with Diogo now, and am enjoying our virtual meetings very much: Diogo is a very kind and pleasant teacher; in our dialogues, he adapts speed and pronunciation to my individual needs; he focuses on his students, involving you in active conversations on all topics “around the world”, and never losing his personal interest. Highly recommended.

Had another fantastic class today! The detail to attention on feedback is second to none ! However, The greatest part of today’s class was Diogo sharing with me a personal story about his language learning journey. I’m not only impressed by the great work that my teacher does but I’m also inspired by the work that he has done to get where he is at today- it reminds me of what is possible and encourages me to continue going forward on my own journey!

Diogo is an excellent teacher, and he makes the classes fun. He reviews the words and phrases that I struggled with and helps improve my pronunciation and grammar. He also made some great suggestions for podcasts and videos to enhance my efforts.
