Hi! I’m Sydney, an English tutor who has lived in both Korea and the United States, so I understand what it’s like to learn and navigate different languages and cultures. I studied neuroscience in college and minored in Spanish. I have experience working with students of different ages, especially helping children from non-English-speaking backgrounds improve their English. I’ve also tutored subjects like chemistry and organic chemistry, which has helped me develop clear and effective ways to explain complex ideas. I’m passionate about language learning and enjoy helping students build confidence and feel comfortable using English in real-life situations. As a teacher, I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and improving. My lessons are personalized to each student’s level and goals. I use a mix of conversation, real-life situations, and clear explanations to help you improve your speaking, expand your vocabulary, and strengthen your grammar. I also adapt my teaching style depending on your needs, whether you prefer more structured guidance or a more conversation-based approach. I can also offer support in Korean or Spanish if needed during lessons. My goal is to help you feel confident using English naturally in everyday contexts.
