Polyglot fluent in German, Cantonese, English, and Chinese, currently studying Japanese. Born and raised in Hong Kong, I moved to Germany for further studies and completed a degree fully taught in German. After graduating, I worked in the renewable energy industry for 6 years while tutoring in my free time.
Now as a German&English tutor residing in Singapore, I provide structured classes by using recognized teaching strategies (didactic methods). I also support learners preparing to move abroad by sharing practical tips and cultural insights.
My hobbies are bouldering, hiking, travelling and watching anime.

GOETHE-ZERTIFIKAT C2 - GOETHE INSTITUT - 2021The Goethe-Zertifikat C2: Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom (GDS) is the highest-level German language certification issued by the Goethe-Institut. It corresponds to the C2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), demonstrating near-native proficiency. It allows ime to work as a German language teacher both in Germany and abroad.
Bestätigung einer ehrenamtlichen Tätigkeit - Hongkonger in Deutschland e.V. - 2021I volunteered as German instructor for Hongkongers through the NGO Hongkonger in Deutschland e.V.. I gave beginner courses to newcomers and helped them with the first steps upon arrival, providing them a comfortable environment to learn a completely new language in Germany. I intrigrated practical guidance on daily life in Germany in the course, giving tips to navigate essential tasks such as public transportation, administrative processes, and cultural adaptation.

The pronunciation of umlauts are difficult to master, but Erica was able to find homophonics from Mandarin and Cantonese to help me better remember them. Danke für die Kreativität!

The lesson was truly engaging and exceeded my expectations. The teacher spoke clearly at a level I could easily understand, which made the learning experience smooth and enjoyable. I especially appreciated the use of storytelling and role playing, which brought real-life context into the lesson and made it much easier to remember new vocabulary and expressions.
The teacher also used high-quality teaching materials and reviewed them thoroughly, which gave me confidence in my learning progress. Everything was well-structured and organized, and I could tell that the teacher had a thoughtful plan behind each lesson.
