Hello! I'm Estela, a 36 year-old native Spanish speaker from Alicante, Spain. I started teaching Spanish online here on italki back in 2015. I studied education at university and then I did a Master's Degree in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. I also hold a certificate of DELE and SIELE exam preparation. I speak English at a C1 level and I'm currently learning Italian. I enjoy playing video games on my PS5 and Nintendo Switch, watching series and movies, listening to K-pop and I absolutely love my dogs Trufa and Duna ☺. There are many Spanish teachers on this platform, so this is what makes me different: - I have a professional studio with a 1080p HD webcam (I use an iMac and FaceTime 1080p camera) with a good microphone + 600mb of optic fiber, that means I have a good and powerful connection. - I am connected with the student also outside of the classes, as I believe that the relationship with your teacher is very important. - I am a language leaner myself, I've been learning English for all my life (I'm at and advanced level now) and I'm currently learning Italian, but I also attempted to learn French and Mandarin Chinese in the past. I offer 3 different types of courses. General Spanish, where we use an online textbook according to your level and extra material in order to complement your learning experience. Estela es una profesora genial y amable. Tenemos conversaciones muy interesantes sobre temas diferentes y relevantes. También, Estela integra materiales útiles para ayudarme con mi aprendizaje de español. Estela is a great and kind professor. Estela, you are a fantastic teacher, able to be both academic and personal, comical and theory-expert, depending on the context. One hour sessions fly by as if they were thirty minutes. With your pedagogical education, experience, and ability to engage students, you motivate us not just to "practice", but to speak, to use the target language in whatever form, and to make Spanish a part of our lives.

Estela, gracias por la clase de hoy. Haces muchas preguntas muy interesantes que me sacan de mi zona de confort, especialmente por mi dificultad para entender el español peninsular/castellano al escuchar. Pareces una persona muy curiosa y entusiasta, que no solo tiene pasión por enseñar español, sino también por aprender diferentes idiomas y culturas. La clase en general fue muy divertida.
