TeacherI offer general English lessons, English lessons for children (age 7-12), and English for Business Communication. During the first meeting I evaluate a student’s English level and establish what their goals are. I then tailor either a structured lesson using a textbook, or use news articles or TED videos to help the student achieve their goals. For beginner students, I use Webex to conduct my lesson. This allows an interactive method to teach.

TeacherClick to edit position descriptionProvide specialized English lessons via phone. Many of my students are from public sector jobs and we focused on job-related lessons. This company used a highly sophisticated software which allowed students to interact via phone and website simultaneously. A lesson history was produced while the lesson was in progress. and the student received an email stating what the next lesson plan will be. Homework was also sent via the website.

As always, it was great to have lesson with Annette. We talked about a writing that I wrote for a Toefl test, about politics and current news. She is a very smart teacher, and she is very prepared and supportive as well.

We had a dynamic conversation class with two original celebrity interviews on the menu. Learning point: forming questions respecting both grammar and intonation rules. Topics for discussion: not every question is an appropriate one, how to sound polite when asking questions, what questions may be too personal or even offensive, stereotypical vs original questions and so on. Thank you for an excellent session.:)
