Taught Korean at an NGO—learn naturally and confidently with me!
Hi! My name is Yena. I was born and raised in South Korea, so I'm a native Korean speaker. I studied Social Welfare in university and completed a Master’s degree in Psychology. I really enjoy meeting people and having good conversations—it’s one of the reasons I love teaching. Also, I love connecting with people through language. Since I’m also learning English, I understand how challenging it can be to learn a second language. With me, you won’t just memorize grammar or vocabulary—you’ll learn how to speak naturally and confidently like a real Korean!عني كمعلّم
I have one year of experience teaching Korean to international staff at a foreign NGO. So I learned how to explain Korean in a way that’s clear, simple, and respectful of each learner’s pace. My lessons are relaxed and conversation-based. I customize each class depending on your level and goals. I focus on teaching real, everyday Korean expressions that native speakers actually use. After doing 5 lessons I am still so happy I decided to book these lessons! With the prepared materials it’s so easy to have a well-flowing conversation and the feedback is super helpful too. I already feel so much more comfortable speaking than a couple weeks ago!! Highly recommend!

This was my third lesson with 예나 선생님, and I am so happy and satisfied! She listened to the goals I shared in the trial lesson and has adapted her classes accordingly ever since. I was looking for some more natural speaking practice, and I already feel much more comfortable using my Korean, even if it is not yet perfect. The structure of conversations with integrated feedback works really well for me, so I definitely plan to continue with more lessons. Highly recommend, especially for those looking to practice in a natural and comfortable setting!! 💪

예나 선생님 clearly analyzed my goals in Korean and adjusted her class and speaking style to my exact needs. 예나 선생님 provided me with consistent clear feedback and improved my fluency by politely making small corrections 예나 선생님 also provided me with more natural expressions and provided opportunities to customize the topic so I could learn vocabulary pertaining to my needs.
