Just had an introductory class with Ayaka-sensei and it went great. She listened to me speak and asked appropriate follow-up questions. She gave me time to find answers, so I was not rushed. When I got answers wrong, she corrected me in a positive way. Akaya-sensei was able to provide answers to questions I asked in real time and even pointed to pages in the textbook for reference. It was truly like having a Japanese teacher right over my shoulder. If you are considering learning Japanese, I highly recommend booking a trial class with Ayaka-sensei! I will be a regular.

I've taken 37 lessons with Ayaka-sensei and every class has been great! We work through the Genki II textbook scenarios and she corrects my grammer along the way while explaining languance nuance. We also spend around 10 minutes each class just casually talking, in Japanese, about things like weather, food, and life in Japan. She is a very patient and supportive teacher who will help you reach your Japanese goals. Highly recommended!

Ayaka-San always listens and provides valuable feedback during and after the lesson. She lets me talk, while not interrupting too often, but she still corrects mistakes from time to time. I feel like i can make mistakes and improve thanks to Ayaka-sans efforts.

Ayaka has been great helping me through Genki chapters - she helps explain and gives me a better understanding of the grammar. She's very patient with my attempts to use the grammar and gives suggestions of what to focus on practicing or reviewing between lessons.
