Ayumi does a great job of guiding the conversation and is very patient, giving me time to think and express myself. We can talk about a wide variety of topics, which makes each lesson engaging and enjoyable. What I appreciate most is the detailed feedback after class. She provides corrections to my mistakes along with example sentences using new vocabulary and expressions from the lesson. This makes it much easier to review and reinforce what I learned, and it has been extremely helpful for my language studies. I highly recommend her.

After 10+ lessons with Ayumi-sensei, I wanted to share an updated review. I've been really enjoying our structured Marugoto A1 textbook lessons. The lessons are always well-prepared and Ayumi-sensei is friendly, calm and incredibly patient. I particularly appreciate the time and space she gives me to express myself. When I don’t understand something, she is happy to rephrase it in Japanese and only uses English when necessary. This approach is very helpful, as it encourages me to think and communicate in Japanese as much as possible, which has helped me improve my speaking confidence and ability. She also provides detailed notes and structured feedback after each lesson, giving me a clearer understanding of what we’ve covered and helping me identify areas for further improvement. Ayumi sensei was very pleasant and engaging. She asked me questions about myself and she shared about her own life in Japan. This was my first ever Italki class and she helped me feel comfortable and welcome.
