My name is Dia Roy and I was born in North-East India, right near the Bhutanese border. I attended school where I learned English and Hindi, I speak Nepali with my parents, and I grew up surrounded by Bengali as well. After moving to Kolkata and completing my education there, I moved to a small town in the foothills of the Indian Himalayas. I greatly enjoy traveling and exploring new cultures and different ways of living. In that process I get to learn new things, meet people from different backgrounds and cultures. Moreover, I like reading, learning, music, and spirituality.عني كمعلّم
Whatever your interests are in life and whatever motivates you to learn Hindi, that's exactly what we're going to do in class. When learning becomes both fun and meaningful, real progress takes place as well as real joy treading this exciting path! I've personally learnt much more through sharing, activities, stories, friendship, and dialogues than by memorizing a vocab book, and that's exactly the way I teach. I recommend breaking free from textbooks, rules, and mindless repetition: neither it is enjoyable for the student, nor does it compare with the benefits of a living, organic approach, which is how we all learnt our own native language.
As fast as possible we will get you comfortable speaking, listening, interacting, and making sense of what you hear. It doesn't matter if you make mistakes: if it's enjoyable and meaningful, you will progress and organically acquire all the tools to flourish in that language. I love using the whiteboard too to note down new words and help you remember them, and highly encourage having your own notebook to always carry around and keep track of new words.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Diya has a bright and enthusiastic teaching style and she paid great attention to my every need. I learnt many new words and had a lot of fun with making up stories in Hindi as well as learning to read existing stories. Use of the whiteboard was very helpful too in visually identifying the mistakes I was making and having a screenshot of it allows me to revise those words before the next lesson.

It was very pleasant to have the lesson with Diya. She immediately understood my needs and goals and adapted teaching for me. She explains very clearly, repeats and writes to be sure I understood. I asked to write also in Devanagari and I could see and write in the same time as she wrote and named each letter, sign and word.
I am beginner and I already understood many things.
She is a very nice and collaborative person.
I am looking forward for another lesson.
