Hello! I’m Asami, a certified Japanese teacher 😊
I hold a 420-hour Japanese Teacher Qualification.
I have taught Japanese language and culture to about 800 high school students in Vietnam.
I offer lessons for absolute beginners and JLPT preparation.
I will guide you in a friendly and easy-to-understand way, tailored to your goals.
I can also explain in English, so even beginners can feel confident and comfortable learning Japanese.

Living in: Osaka (a big city, famous for takoyaki)
Hobbies: Traveling (14 countries), Mountain climbing, Studying languages (English & Vietnamese)

Today I had a lot of questions, and Asami-sensei is patient as always. She is great at explaining and giving examples that makes things easier to remember. I can highly recommend Asami-sensei as a teacher!

Third lesson done! I am really enjoying our classes. We continue to learn Hiragana, but also take some sneakpeaks into Katakana and Kanji as well. And I was mindblown when I understood where the word Tamagochi comes from! I have such a great time studying Japanese with Asami sensei. Can't wait for next lesson! Arrigato, Asami sensei!

This was a great first lesson! Asami-san was patient and very good at explaining whenever I had a question. I also left this class with new words and a little more understanding of different words, grammar and cultural aspects. ありがとう、麻美さん

Asami-sensei is a very patient teacher. Today I read hiragana, and she corrected my mistakes and pronunciation throughout my reading. She is very good at what she does, and I am learning something new every time. We have a Google docs with notes that I can use for my studies, and I have access to a lot of good learning materials! She is a great teacher for someone who is diving into Japanese for the first time. Arrigato, Asami-sensei :D

Asami-sensei is a great teacher! Today we started learning Hiragana and I got to practice some sentences I had written down. Asami-sensei is such a wonderful teacher that makes me feel secure and confident, and I just want to hang out and learn more Japanese. Arrigato!
