From a small German town to the vibrant heart of Berlin, my adventures have spanned the serene countryside and bustling metropolises like New York and Hong Kong. Exploring 25+ countries broadened my horizons, including four years in the US.
With German roots and a global heartbeat, I'm a memory collector, forever chasing new experiences and embracing Wanderlust's spirit. Immersing myself in diverse cultures, savoring exotic cuisines, and marveling at breathtaking landscapes fuels my inspiration.
At 29, I pursued my passion for understanding the human mind, earning a Psychology degree. Humboldt University also led me to delve into captivating regional studies, focusing on Africa and Asia.

Described as engaging, spontaneous, funny, and patient by previous students, I possess a genuine curiosity about people and cultures. As both a teacher and a student, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and encouraging open expression. Having learned English, French, Spanish, and currently tackling Japanese, I understand the initial apprehension of starting a new language. Yet, I can assure you that it's not only intimidating but also incredibly fun to express yourself.
With over 10 years of experience tutoring German and English, I'm here to guide you on this exciting language-learning journey.

Our main focus is conversation. I'll provide materials like articles, videos, images etc. based on your goals and German proficiency. These resources won't require more than 15 minutes of preparation time. I carefully select topics that match your interests, allowing you to expand your vocabulary in areas you're genuinely passionate about. In the past, I've tailored grammar lessons and offered feedback on written assignments. Ultimately, you know best what you need to learn.
My role is to guide you and provide the tools necessary for your language journey.

Exactly what I was looking for! It was so great to chat with Kira, get in a flow of using my German, and also have someone there to correct grammar mistakes and give me new words to use. Kira is an excellent teacher and conversation partner!
