Hello! I’m Emily, a native British English teacher with a clear Received Pronunciation/Estuary accent—ideal for mastering authentic UK English. My background in psychology (BSc and MSc) helps me tailor lessons to *your* learning style, so you speak fluently and confidently, not just correctly.

Although I am new to Italki, I have mentoring experience and have worked with a variety of people and ages. My lessons and informal and largely conversation based. I will start by getting to know you, your goals and your preferred learning style. I will then use this to tailor the session structure to you.
I am open to intermediate to advanced students but am also happy to discuss how I can support beginner and absolute beginner students in my introductory sessions.
I use conversation, video material, written material and question and answer tasks to work towards your goals and I am happy to support you in taking your learning out into the world, with homework tasks.

Emily is an absolutely wonderful English teacher. She has such a sweet personality with gentle manners and incredible patience with her students. What I love most about her teaching style is that at the end of each lesson, she takes the time to share my mistakes and corrections with me; this really helps me understand where I need to improve.
With Emily, we have meaningful conversations about important topics, and I really enjoy hearing her opinions, which she always shares in such a polite and thoughtful way. This makes our lessons not just educational but truly engaging and enriching.

Emily is a valuable teacher. She's kind, empathetic, and talkative. I consider her English sessions quite productive, as I can speak a lot. Her approach to correction is appropriate when necessary, and she avoids interrupting your fluency, which I really appreciated. Super suggested!

Emily is the best English teacher I’ve ever had. She is very patient and carefully listens to what I say. Also, She keeps smiling all the time, which brightens up our classes. Furthermore, she provides detailed feedback specifically and neatly fixing my mistakes, which is incredibly helpful to improve my speaking skills. I definitely recommend her class.
