Hello, I’m Yilkal! As a native Amharic speaker, I specialize in helping beginners build confidence in speaking and understanding the language. Whether you’re preparing for travel, connecting with family, or just starting your language journey, I’ll make learning fun and practical. My approach is patient and engaging—I love using everyday examples to make lessons relatable. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me at the gym, listening to podcasts, or diving into history and art. One summer, I had the opportunity to work as a tutor for a 12th-grade student who was preparing for his national exams. I helped him with all the subjects he needed to tackle, from math and physics to other topics. I created study plans, explained concepts in ways that made sense to him, and provided practice problems to reinforce his understanding. My focus was always on helping him truly understand the material, not just memorize it. By the end of the summer, he felt much more prepared and confident, which was incredibly fulfilling for me. I’m currently in my fourth year studying Microelectronics Engineering at Addis Ababa University, so I have a solid background in math and physics. دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
When I teach, I try to make learning as engaging and relatable as possible. I start by figuring out where the student is struggling and then work with them to fill in the gaps. I use examples from everyday life to explain tricky concepts and encourage them to ask questions and think critically.
