I’m William, a CELPE-Bras expert and English/Portuguese teacher from Rio, blending 10+ years of IT experience with language coaching. Whether you’re prepping for exams, mastering conversational fluency, or craving Brazilian culture (think samba rhythms or tech slang!), I’ll help you learn naturally- through stories, shared interests, and real-world practice.

My goal as your teacher is to improve your speaking skills! I have many topics of interest that we can talk about. I'm an outspoken person and a good listener. During our classes, I'll pay attention to your issues/needs/difficulties, always taking notes on them to be discussed during each class and teaching the techniques to fix them.

Today was another fun class with William. As usual, he motivated me to talk as much as possible, keeping the conversation flow smoothly. He provided instant feedback and corrections. He also helped me craft my sentences better - to sound more native. I have had many Portuguese teachers on italki, and I can say without a doubt William is the best teacher on this platform. I cannot say enough good things about him. He makes learning Portuguese super fun! Highly recommend!
