I'm William, a Portuguese and English teacher from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with many years of teaching experience. I love not only teaching languages but also sharing the stories and lessons I've learned over time.
I have a bachelor's degree in Information Technology and have worked in that field for ten years. Meeting people from all over the world has made me love languages even more. While learning English, Spanish and French, I met lots of people online who wanted to learn Portuguese. Sharing languages and life stories with them has been a great experience, and I'm excited to share it with you.

My goal as your teacher is to improve your speaking skills! I have many topics of interest that we can talk about. I'm an outspoken person and a good listener. If you need to have someone in your team to learn PT you know that William is the most reliable person with whom you can learn Portuguese in a relaxed way but yet professional all the way. He is attentive, takes notes, gives examples, correct your pronunciation, prepares the lesson for you and is always on time. He never has disappointed me

Today was another fun class with William. As usual, he motivated me to talk as much as possible, keeping the conversation flow smoothly. He provided instant feedback and corrections. He also helped me craft my sentences better - to sound more native. I have had many Portuguese teachers on italki, and I can say without a doubt William is the best teacher on this platform. I cannot say enough good things about him. He makes learning Portuguese super fun! Highly recommend!
