My name is Amy Utkan. I am an American living in Ponte Vedra, Florida. After graduating from University of Florida, my husband and I moved to Istanbul, Turkey. We lived there for almost 20 years. While there, I taught English at a local preschool for more than 15 years. I loved living in Turkey and learning Turkish and all about the Turkish culture.عني كمعلّم
I taught preschoolers English in Istanbul, Turkey for more than 15 years. I learned from the young learners that the best way to learn a new language is to immerse yourself in it. Keeping an open mind and an open ear help to make the learning process easier and more relaxed. I hope to bring that insight and experience to my Turkish lessons.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
My teaching style promotes listening as a key feature. The lessons involve role playing in typical Turkish scenarios. They also involve listening to conversations and pulling out key words and ideas.
