Hi, My name is Junko. I was born and raised in Japan and currently I am living in the United States. I grew up in a rural area of Japan and moved to Osaka when I was 18 years old. I have lived in Vancouver, Lake Louise Canada, Hawaii and California. I love watching Japanese drama and eating yummy food especially Japanese food of course! I also love talking with people from different cultures to learn about the world. I'm looking forward to talk with you soon!! よろしくおねがいします☺

I have been teaching Japanese for about 3 years to all ages from toddlers to adults. It is my passion to teach Japanese and it is my joy to see my students improve their skills. As a tutor, I value creating lessons that are customized to each student’s level, goals, and interests. My goal is to help you use Japanese with confidence and enjoy the learning process.

In my lessons, I would like the learner to have chances to speak Japanese as much as possible. I try to create a relaxed and supportive atmosphere where you can speak freely without worrying about making mistakes. I will gently correct your errors and guide you to use more natural expressions. I believe speaking a lot and making mistakes, are very important to learning another language. We can practice speaking through various topics or using text books. Also, I would like to use natural every day Japanese instead of sounding like a robot talking or in an uncommon way. ・Personalized instruction ・Practical Conversation Practice ・Grammar and culture etc.

Junkosan was so friendly and helpful and had made a cutie little slide where she introduced greetings and responses for different kinds of interactions. She clarified several things about the greetings which made understanding the difference between casual and formal interactions much easier to grasp and was able to correct me on some of my prior understanding of word usage.
